Have you heard about the new Florida traffic law that  makes it illegal to hold a cell phone to your ear while driving? The most common email warning making the rounds reads something like this:

 "As of 07/01/07 cell phone use must be “hands free” while driving. Ticket is $285. They will be looking for this like crazy- easy money for police department."

Don’t worry. I checked the authority on internet nonsense and it’s bogus.  Feel free to yak into your Razr while munching on a Gordito and tweezing your nose hair. You wouldn’t be any more dangerous than the armless Land o’ Lakes driver who was sent off for five years for a variety of drug and traffic offenses.
