I wouldn't normally devote a post to a "Best Hamburger" contest, but Creative Loafing did such a thorough investigation into the matter, I had to pass this on.  I also love the fact that the winner is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area- Pane Rustica on MacDill Avenue in Tampa.  Karyn and Kevin Kruszewski create a level of unpretentious sophistication that can't be franchised.  For the love of the little 8 lb, 6 oz Baby Jesus, try their thin crust pizza, salmon salad, cinnamon raisin bread and of course, the burger.
