After a couple weeks touring Thailand and Vietnam, I'm back in the saddle.  My return to productivity has been slowed by a wicked cold virus picked up on Cathay Pacific flight 872.  Coincidentally, at the same time I was strolling the boulevards of Hanoi with my daughter and her college roommate, St. Pete Times correspondent, Susan Taylor Martin was in Vietnam writing some excellent reports on our former enemy in Indochina.  Sounds like a Flashpoint show to me!

Ha Long Bay off the Gulf of Tonkin

So, this Sunday at 11:00 on ABC Action News, Susan Martin and I will compare notes and photographs of our adventure and try valiantly to make trenchant analogies between our tortured history with Vietnam and our current travails with Iraq and Cuba.  Also, Creative Loafing's Wayne Garcia and political media consultant, Renee Dabbs will handicap the presidential veepstakes derby.  See you on Sunday.
