"Whatever happened, I apologize. So dry your tears and baby, walk outside. It's the Fourth of July"
-Dave Alvin
Hope you're having a great weekend. This Sunday morning on Flashpoint, I step outside my comfort zone and take up sports. The Tampa Bay Rays are making news on and off the field in a way that is of interest to more than just sports fans. Pinellas County commissioner, Bob Steward played a key role in building Tropicana Field and bringing baseball to the Bay Area, so he has some good insight into the (now suspended) plans to build a super cool outdoor stadium on the St. Pete Waterfront. Why exactly did the Rays pull their proposal just months before the issue was supposed to go before voters? And why all the secret squirrel nonsense with both the Rays deal and the tax incentives for Jabil?
Check out Flashpoint this Sunday morning at 11:00 on ABC Action News.
