Facts here! Get your red hot facts!

Having sat through the latest McCain campaign commercial about a thousand times, I thought it time to check with the Annenberg School's fact checking website.  Here's their rather harsh judgment of McCain's slam on Obama.

A New Stitch in a Bad Pattern
A McCain ad wrongly claims Obama plans "painful tax increases" for working families. And who's talking about deficits?
Summary
McCain's new ad puts another stitch in what we've called his pattern of deceit on Obama's tax plan. This one claims Obama and congressional Democrats plan to push forward "painful tax increases on working American families" and that they will bring about "years of deficits," "no balanced budgets" and "billions in new government spending."

The ad is plain wrong about higher taxes on working families. In fact, Obama's economic plan would produce a tax cut for the majority of American households, with middle-income earners benefiting most. As for "years of deficits," exactly the same claim could be made about McCain's program. It's unlikely either Obama or McCain would balance the budget, and both are projected to increase the debt by trillions.
Analysis
We've already reported on at least three other ads, in both Spanish and English, from Sen. John McCain's campaign that distort his rival's tax policy. The ads claim that, for example, Democratic Sen. Barack Obama would raise taxes "on the sale of your home" and that he has a "history of raising taxes" and that he wanted to raise taxes on "families" making just $42,000 a year.

Claims like these have led us to say that McCain's campaign is engaging in a "pattern of deceit" when it comes to describing Obama's tax plan. This most recent ad fits right into the template.

Obama's ads aren't exactly a paragon of fairness either. Here's FactCheck.Org's take on the Democrat's recent TV spot.
Distorting McCain's Remarks
An Obama ad uses dated and out of context quotes to portray McCain as clueless on the economy.
Summary
Obama's campaign is running a TV ad in Indiana that asks the question: "How can John McCain fix the economy, when he doesn't think it's broken?" But the ad uses quotes from McCain that are old and taken out of context:
  • The ad shows McCain saying, "I don't believe we're headed into a recession." But McCain said that in January, and he also acknowledged at the time that the American economy was in "a rough patch."
  • The ad then shows McCain saying in April, "[T]here's been great progress economically." But the quote is lifted from a much longer response; McCain went on to say that the "progress" made during Bush's tenure still wouldn't console American families who are facing "tremendous economic challenges."
  • The third quote from McCain, "[W]e have had a pretty good prosperous time, with low unemployment," also comes from January. In his full response, McCain went on to say "things are tough right now."

The Race to the bottom has begun.  If it's not throwing out dueling misleading ads, it's the fact that some supporters at the base want to get as personal as possible.  I'm not talking about Palin, I'm talking about with John and Barack respectively.

The race to the bottom has begun and the problem is, the bottom is all we've been seeing in American politics for decades now.

Obama is avoiding debates with McCain like the plague because he knows McCain would "reveal" what he "conceals", and would put him in his place. Instead he chooses to have individual interviews he can control. He had an interview at Colombia University (an extreme left) last night, where Obama went to school!  How convenient.

Obama thinks he can "change" these ruthless dictators' minds in other countries to stop war, when he can't even analyze his own preacher's mind that he's been seeing for 20 years! And when he did admit he didn't like some things his preacher was saying, Obama didn't stand up and talk to him about the issues.  What a leader, rest assured we'll be safe in his hands.

Even Biden admits Obama made the wrong VP choice, the obvious being Hillary. Through is self-centered ego, he now acknowledges he needs help, and befriends Bill Clinton as a new tactic and strategy, to gain Hillary hopefuls, making a deal with them because the Clintons will do anything to get back in the White House.  It's a joke.

And a lesser known fact, 25% of Democrat Super Delegates are UNION members or WIVES of Union members. Obama has made deals with them because they fund him. So his priority is with the Unions, NOT the people. It's a fact. So many times in Obama's past, he voted "present" on issues the Unions didn't want him to vote for or against. That's why, because they control him.  McCain refuses to be controlled by the unions, he works for the people.

Lastly, Michelle Obama is proud to be a black American who cares about the black communities in need for financial help, so why is she trying to be white, consistently spending money to have her and her two daughters hair straightened?

Your distortion of facts is absolutely amusing.  What does perming your hair have to do with caring about your community?   Do you know anything about "Black hair care?" By the way, you can buy a perm/ relaxer kit for 5 bucks. Does wearing a $300,000.00 outfit make you care or not care about your community? Hmm....

Oh yeah, does stealing money from your own charity (Cindy McCain) to buy Rx drugs make you a thief? Does leaving your wife who was disabled from a car accident to marry a young heiress make you a moral christian?  Does promoting no sex education as your unmarried daughter's pregnancy is revealed make you a poster person for "Abstinence".  Maybe sex education would have prevented unmarried, unprotected sex.  Does cruelly shooting animals from the air make you Presidednt of the NRA? (Well maybe) Does not knowing how to send an open an email equate to not being able to run the country? The internet has been around for at least 20 years. Even First graders know how to use a computer.
Are you smarter than a 1st grader?

Does being incarcerated give you the experience to become a prison warden?
Does living in Florida give you the experience to become an Ambasssdor on Caribbean Affairs ?  Does being a "Hockey Mom" or any mom give you the expertise to run the country?  Does winning the Superbowl give the coach the expertise to become the Secretary of Defense?  Heck  No!

Sounds absurd?  So does the McPain/Painin,  erMcCain/Palin litany of lies and rhetoric.
