Is foreign policy beyond the Palin?

Attachment: Sarah_Palin.jpg (126928 bytes)

Quick!  Without consulting Google or Wikipedia, name the heads of states of China, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Canada and Mexico.    Even if you consider yourself a fairly tuned-in consumer of world news, you might have drawn a blank or three. Do you think Sarah Palin's any different? The reason she's been so cloistered from contact with the media or the public is not to prepare her for the witness protection lifestyle of Dick Cheney, but rather to give her time to cram.

The first interview Palin has granted since the convention can be seen on ABC's World News Tonight with Charles Gibson. A lengthier special will air in prime time Thursday.  My theory is that Palin has been studying the Cliffs Notes version of geopolitics so as not to get tripped up by Gibson, or worse yet, but some local reporter who asks her the name of Russia's foreign minister.  That would be particularly damaging because Russia, if you haven't heard by now, is right next to Alaska!

Please answer why ABC is so focus on this woman. I believe this is free campaigning for MCCain. She is not very impressive; she seems angry. I am normally happy to see a woman come up, but she is not Hilary, or any other women in political. McCain chose not because she worked for it, but because they think they can trick the American public.

So, why are you ABC action news pushing or trying push her down our throat.

Marsha.

Obama is avoiding debates with McCain like the plague, and instead has individual interviews that he can control. He's having an interview at Colombia University tonight , where Obama went to school! And they are an extreme Democrat university. How convenient.

Obama thinks he can change these ruthless dictators' minds in other countries, when he can't even analyze his own preacher's mind that he's been seeing for 20 years! And when he did admit he didn't like some things his preacher was saying, Obama didn't stand up and talk to him about the issues.  What a leader, we can be assured we'll be safe in his hands.

The details of the facts in the country of Geogia are complicated.  I truely believe that most Americans who reviewed them without the colored glasses of "America vs. Russia" would come to understand that the peoples living in South Ossetia and Abkhazia are indeed justified in retaining the independence that they faught and died for.  Furthermore, the government of Georgia is the one who  started the recent August war by crossing borders that had been in place since 1992,  destroying the capitol of South Ossetia, and killing many of its residents.  The fact that Russia stepped in to defend the populations of these two autonomous areas from a Georgian government bent on ethnicly cleansing them is a no-brainer.  Europeans who better know what is going on in their back yard (and are not clamering for World War 3) understand that the issues in South Ossetia and Abkhazia are indeed not black and white, but are in fact intricate and complicated.
What really scares me about Palin, is that she seemingly has no understanding of any of the issues that are involved.  She seems to not recognize that these two democratic and independent areas have no more desire to be part of Georgia then the thirteen colonies want to be surrogate to the King of England in 1776.
By not understanding or at least recognizing some of the facts, Palin paints the Cold War picture of "Us vs. Them".   She would, in her own words, go to war with Russia over the areas of Abkhzia and South Ossetia.   She would rain down nuclear destruction of the entire world - the ENTIRE WORLD - over the issues in two small regions.  Is this Palin ready to lead?   ......Are you ready to die?

I have been a viewer of ABC since 2001.  I did not realized how liberal you guys are.  I thought you were fair and balance like fox news.  I was wrong, after watching the interviews with Palin, believe me, I will not be tuning to ABC anymore.  I live in Sun City Center and believe me your guy Obama is not going to win.  I have not seen anyone in your chanel asked the same question to Obama as Charlie Gibson ask Palin.

I  volunteered when I live in New Jersey and  Christie Whitman ran for Governor and she won.  I will volunteer to make sure that McCanin/Palin wins.   All my life I have voted democratic, but this year I am voting for McCain/Palin, thanks to the media.

Randy; follow the news.  There is now documentation of Russia sending troops & equipment through the tunnel into South Ossetia prior to Georgis's actions.  At this  time the aggressor finger points at Russia.  Since both Ossetia & Abkhazia are part of Georgia the border issue is not valid.  You are correct in stating it's complicated.  Who were the clowns that allowed Russia the exclusive right to peace keeping.  If Russia has been issuing passports to Georgian citizens (read Ossetian) and these people now claim Russian citizenship, the solution is easy.  Deport them to Russia.
Carmen; are you mad because Palin can't answer simple questions or because ABC asked them?  Sara Palin is just another self-serving politician who happens to be a woman.  She is not qualified to be a heart beat away from the presidency.
Misc; McCain is an empty suit.  And the reason we can't talk to the bad guys is??

According to MSCBS Palin's Polls are down 10% since Sat and thank goodness some of see that she's a broken record like her boss McCain.
McCain is so desperate to get to the White House he won't let no one or anything stand in his way and that includes us voters.
I was sick of his playing the POW Hero card. All POWs are heroes, period! Then that didn't work he went on to another saying about 100 yrs, than leading 3 men of his party on saying that 1 of them will be pick.He didn't want to say who he was going to pick till after Obama than saying he was going to wait till Cindy comes back from GA as a copier of Obama with Michelle. His VP sounds as old as he is saying the exact words weeks later like she did at the Convention.
Now the latest is that McCain is going to go through of who can vote and who can't.
Saying if ones didn't vote last time they shouldn't be able to vote this year. How he's going to pull that one off I have no idea but if he does "everyone" in America better stand up and say BS
He's pulling a Bush of 2000 and how many are seeing this.
Palin doesn't care about the Jewish Faith

NEWSFLASH: Sarah Palin Listens To Hate Speech Against Jews in Church
http://strategy08.wordpress.com/2008/09/03/sa...
Andrew Sullivan at the Atlantic uncovered a shocking detail about Sarah Palin (one of the now many shocking details), in which she sat in a meeting at the Wasilla Bible Church.

The meeting was headed by David Brickner, the executive director of Jews for Jesus, and here’s what he said:

Brickner also described terrorist attacks on Israelis as God’s “judgment of unbelief” of Jews who haven’t embraced Christianity.

“Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. It’s very real. When [Brickner's son] was in Jerusalem he was there to witness some of that judgment, some of that conflict, when a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment — you can’t miss it.”

Palin was in church that day, Kroon said, though he cautioned against attributing Brickner’s views to her.

John McCain now has a serious Jewish problem, thanks to Sarah Palin’s extremist creationist views, which may cost him Florida, and several other states when these views, supported by Sarah Palin, become very well known.

Sarah Palin is no friend to the Jewish community, and neither is John McCain, in having picked this Dominionist as his Vice-President.

EDIT: Here’s the video of Brickner’s sermon on “The Jerusalem Dilemma”

If we want to make the best possible choice for the US, and want the presidential votes to be "accurate", the American people need to set aside any past party preference, and use their INTELLIGENCE. People need to leave behind any hype from the media given to either party, and really listen to what McCain & Obama are saying, then make your choice based on that. Don't let anyone around you brainwash you, or impose their beliefs onto you. You need to go with your instincts. Recognize the candidates intentions -who is genuine and who uses political personality or dodgy strategy to brainwash people into winning the election? Who's priority is with the American people, and who's seems to be with themselves? Because those ways will be used throughout the entire presidency, and if they aren't straight from the beginning, then we would never truthfully be informed on what's really going on in the country. This isn't a popularity contest, this affects all of our lives.
