It's a really good thing that the global community, given our history of importing these people as slaves, can no longer claim that we exclude African-Americans from participation in our government. Already, Iran has proposed a more peaceful diplomatic relationship with the United Sates. This whole Obama thing, it turns out, seems to be having an unanticipated positive effect of our foreign policy. I look forward to living in a world in which Americans aren't labeled as tyrants and oppressors.
