Sports Talk - Tampa Bay Sports Blog

Can it be. The Rays are not Tampa Bay's losingest professional franchise?

Believe it or not, according to one fans mathematics, the Rays are not our towns losingest team.  From local blog Sticks of Fire:

the Bucs are 193-304-1 (.388) in the team’s 30 year history, the Lightning are 415-553-113-38 (.413) in 14 seasons, and the Devil Rays are 615-932 (.398) in 9+ seasons.

Never mind that the Bolts and Bucs both hold championships...
Never mind that the Bolts and Bucs have both been to the playoffs several times...
Never mind that the Bolts and Bucs have both finished above .500 more seasons that the Devil Rays have existed.

But hey, let's give the Rays yet another pass. Nothing's wrong over there! Not a thing!

Some impressive teams we have here in the Tampa area. Makes me proud to be a Cowboys/Rangers/Mavericks/Stars fan.

If you're a Cowboys/Rangers/Mavericks/Stars fan, we (and by "we" I mean "not you") don't care what you think about our (again, "not your") teams.

One day, when "your" football team has 5 Super Bowl rings "your" opinion will matter. Until then, not so much.
