For Michael Vick's sake, he better have miracle workers as attorney's. A third co-defendant, who plead guilty implicated Vick as the big money man behind the dogflighting operation and gambling monies associated with the operation.
Like we didn't know this already. The question is - Why would Vick do this? He has already lost his sponsors and endorsements. Now he stands a more than 50-50 chance of losing his status in the NFL. I guess he was bored. Or maybe where he comes from, dog-fightning and gambling was the chic thing to do in the back woods of Virginia.
If he's found guilty, unless he plea bargains his way out this mess, Vick's going to jail for a long time. By the time he got out, the NFL will have moved on without him. He will be yesterday's news.
Should Vick be banned from the NFL for life? No. I would give him an indefinite suspension. What Michael Vick is guilty of first and foremost is being stupid.
Considering his brother, Marcus's past actions, the problem in the Vick family stemmed from their upbringing. My guess is they just don't know any better. Not even incredible athletic talent can mast that.
