BUCCANEERS CLAIM WR BIDDLE AND CB MADISON; ANNOUNCE OTHER MOVES

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that they have claimed WR Taye Biddle and CB Anthony Madison off waivers from Carolina and Pittsburgh, respectively. The team also released CB Sammy Davis and LB Leon Joe. G Jeb Terry was released from injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement with the club. In addition, the team placed T Chris Denman, WR Chas Gessner, CB Carlos Hendricks and WR Paris Warren on injured reserve

Tampa Bay also signed seven players to its practice squad: RB Kenneth Darby, CB Marcus Hamilton, TE Keith Heinrich, WR Chad Lucas, C/G Enoka Lucas, T Dennis Roland and FB Byron Storer.

Biddle, who entered the league as an undrafted free agent with Carolina in 2006, has played in two career games with three receptions for 37 yards.

Madison played in 11 games with the Steelers last season, totaling three tackles, as well as 10 special teams tackles. Madison entered the league as an undrafted free agent with Pittsburgh in 2006.

Davis was signed as a free agent by the Buccaneers on March 13. Joe was claimed off waivers from the Chicago Bears on August 28.
