Your comments are appreciated, but for those of you that think the NFL penalities levied against the Pats are severe, I strongly disagree.

First of all, $500,000 sounds like alot of money, but I'll bet you dollars to donuts that that fine levied against Coach Billy will either be paid for by the team, or Belichick will be on payment plan.  The COIN HE MAKES, I GUARANTEE YOU HE WON'T MISS THE MONEY. 

Furthermore, Belichick's legacy will not be tarnished within the NFL.  The Patriots aren't the only team out there filming sideline signals.  The Patriots got caught, which was embarassing, but it will blow over in time. 

And when I read that the Patriots still have another #1 pick in the draft via San Francisco.  HELLO!  What 1st round pick would be higher, New England's or San Francisco's?  And, if they don't make the playoffs, they lose their 2nd and 3rd round picks, and retain the #1.  HELLO! The Patriots come out of this thing with nothing more than three quarter mil going into the NFL office party fund.   They got their money's worth well before they got caught.
