You are right, USF is not top 10 yet. If the Offense plays like it can combined with that D they are top 5.

Love the Bulls, but that 2nd half was sloppy.  Only by sheer luck did the D not lose it in the end with the half-assed tackling and letting Brown run like he was able to.  No true top 10 team is going to allow those repeated 4th down conversions with so much at stake.  It was more a case that WVU lost rather than USF won.

Alum, were you wacthing the same game I was?  Maybe WVU racked up some yards (although they were considerably less than their average), but look at the points on the board: 13...1 touchdown to the Mountaineers.  "Sloppy tackling" was WVU doing what they do, being elusive and making guys miss.  However, unlike other teams that have faced the Mountaineers, USF didn't let those elusive moves lead to touchdowns...they were stopped once they reached the secondary.  A 4th down conversion means nothing without points.

So, I disagree.  It was not sheer luck...WVU did not lose the game...USF's defense won it.  And, they did enough late to get the W.

If everyone boils it down to just W's and L's what's the point of discussion and where's the room for improvement?  The Bulls have built a phenomenon, sure, but they have a ways to go.  Had they faced a team deserving of the top 5 ranking, other than WVU, those mistakes in the 4th quarter would have cost them more than just a few yards.  Just hope they can make the improvements and keep up the W's.  The first half was the way they should have played the whole game.  

Lest anyone forget USF has just as much speed and quickness as any team in the country, which always equates to "an" if not "the" advantage.  they are a reincarnation of the miami hurricanes glory days and they're not giving up much.  they totally dominated WV and should have had 28 points in the first half were it not for a couple of passes falling short.  whether the so call experts believe it or not the bulls are here to stay, and will contend for a national title THIS YEAR.    

Glad to see your "keys" were correct. Where did you go to school, the Football School of the Obvious? Of course special teams would be a factor, same with turnovers. They are in EVERY game.

Don't be so fast to toot your own horn and give credit where credit is due...to the Bulls!

Brian, that's not necessarily true. Special teams aren't usually a factor when one team is predicted to whup another.  And did you expect that many turnovers. Gimme a break.

After watching the Top 10 play this weekend, most of them aren't Top 10 material either. So if Auburn beats the Gators tonight as they are doing now 14-0, and USF beat Auburn, what does that mean Tom?

Did some of you guys who are trying to take away from the bulls victory actually see the same game?  USF defense was great and is great.  They had a 15 point lead and then gave up some yardage, keeping the opponent in front of them.  USF's offense did not play well against WV defense, which was upsetting, but don't you dare say the defense gave up much of anything in that game.  Hilarious.  USF should now be top 10 with all of those top team losses, no doubt.  If they are not, we don't really care.  We will just go out and beat more and more teams until the BCS.  LOL  We like to be underrated.  U OF FLORIDA OVERRATED LOL loot where it got them...

Tom Korun please keep underrating the bulls like all of the other idiots.  They have a fantastic defense with speed at DB and LB plus an awesome D-line.  They took those RB's out of the game completely.  Didn't you see that?  They gave up a number of broken plays to the QB and that was about it...  You should also note that the bulls turned the ball over a lot as well.  WV also had about one penalty in the ENTIRE game while they were holding all over the place against the D-line.

When all the precious little top teams keep losing and upstart teams win people naturally criticize them... that is OK.  But, you know what?  Sometimes those upstart teams are actually BETTER than the pre-season ranked teams - as evidenced this year.  GO BULLS.

I'm a USF fan as much as anyone else, but you people have got to be kidding.  USF is not underrated, they're overrated. They are in an overrated conference full of powderpuff teams. Rutgers, WVA and Louisville?  Please.  Rutgers lost to Maryland.

A team like Auburn loses to USF because they didn't take them seriously. It won't happen again.  Mark my words, USF is going to lose, and it's going to be to an easy team.  Did you see that kid Brown for WVA throwing bombs on USF?  All you need to do to beat USF is have some good pass protection and some speedy receivers and you can throw on them all day long.  

Disagree...   We have beaten two top 20 teams to date.  And one of those beat a top 5.  We have shown we can win big games.

True, our offense did not have a great game on Friday, but we will pull it together. And be sure we will fix our pass defense woes before our next game.   Evan a cool win like we had against WVU leaves us stuff to work on.....
