Even as a sophomore, Tim Tebow has become one of the most dangerous weapons in college football. Think about all the hype, expectations and demands coming into this season...and Tebow has surpassed them all -- if that is possible.
But the next step for Tebow is that signature rally for victory. Tebow brought the Gators back for the tie against Auburn before the Gator defense gave up the winning field goal. Saturday night at Baton Rouge, the stage was set for a Heisman-like drive. But Tebow was 1-of-5 for 7 yards on that drive. In the 4th quarter, Tebow was 1-of-9 with a crucial interception...granted that ball hit a Gator receiver in the helmet, but Tebow forced a pass into a mass of LSU Tigers.
As good as Tebow is, we forget that his career as a starting quarterback is all of 6 games. Early in games, he has the ability to take over even though defenses are stacked to stop him. When he does it with the game on the line, he'll carve a legend like none other.
