Why isn't Matt Grothe on Heisman list?

Before I begin, I swear that I am of right mind at the time of this writing.  Now that my sanity is no longer in question, here we go.

Matt Grothe should be added to the Heisman watch list.  I've watched this kid for six game now, and he could start on any college team.  He is a gamer and a winner.  If he had decent receivers, this kids passing numbers would be unreal.  And you want to talk about a scrambling quarterback, there is no better in the college game today.

Because he's not your prototype quarterback ( 6'3" or taller ) he's nothing but an overachiever.  Dream on folks.  He refuses to lose, takes punishment, gets up, reloads, and wins..week after week.

He is without a doubt worthy of at least a mention.  So I'm waiting for the first network TV analyst to bring this point up.  When they do, remember, you read it here first.

I agree with you, but unfortunately you're about 12 hours too late. During the ESPNU broadcast of yesterday's USF-UCF game, the commentators raised the same point: he may not necessarily be a front-running candidate for the Heisman, but he at least deserves a mention.

That's hilarious.  Same could be said of any decent college QB.  A true Heisman candidate should not excuse his performance, with his team's lack of talent.  Pretty weak.

It can be said about any decent QB. The BIG difference is that even without the receiving group he is still WINNING games. More so than almost all of the choices for the Heisman. He can make a play when there isn't one and he can think on his feet. He should get more credit.
