The signs are pointing to Joe Torre returning to the Yankees.  One more year. One more year in Yankee Stadium before the new ballpark opens. 

Torre flew into Tampa today and spent less than two hours meeting with Yankee officials.  The Yankee brass have been meeting since earlier this week talking about Torre's status.  Torre obviously wants to return.  The Yankees appear hesitant to bring Torre back at his $7-million dollars a year.

With the Red Sox and Indians playing Game 5 tonight of the American League Championship Series, it is tough to say when the Yankees would make an announcement regarding Torre.
