I waited some eight hours to write this blog because I wanted to chill out from watching that gosh aweful Bucs give-away of a game against Detroit. Unfortunately, I'm still in disbelief at what I saw out there.
I know there are going to be turnovers from week to week. But unforced errors are not tolerated! A bad exchange (fumble/turnover) from center to QB (Wade to Garcia) at the Detroit 1-yard line was hard enough to take. Then the Bucs defense let Detroit go 94 yards to score! Come on! Were not talking about Tom Brady and NE here. Even the most inept NFL defense has a 60% chance of stopping any offense from going 94 yards!
Upper echelon teams, or teams that think they are pretty good DON'T MAKE THOSE MISTAKES!
I certainly hope that in tomorrow's Bucs team meeting, Jon Gruden let's it rip. I'm barely able to contain myself in this writing, and I'm not even on the team. Why I'm mad is the fact this team is in the upper tier of a group of six or so NFC teams. Sunday, they looked like the friggin Falcons.
In closing:
A. The Bucs need to find four defensive lineman that can pressure a QB, or Monte you better start blitzing like crazy.
B. Will Michael Bennett get more touches vs. Jaguars. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
C. Will Michael Bennett return kicks and punts PLEASE!!!!!!!!! (I don't know if he's ever returned before, but give him a shot) Anyone see his speed on that 1st down run to the Detroit one before Garcia's fumble? Get a playmaker on ST!
D. I will not be at the Jon Gruden newser. However, I will be talking with the players on Wednesday.
E. Time for a beer. Good night.
