Bucs get B+ for first day draft work

Not a bad first day of the NFL draft.  Not bad at all.  I like the Talib pick 20th overall.   He is the most talented cornerback in the draft.  What downgraded him out of the top 10 was a self-admitted positive test(s) for pot in college.

Note to Talib.  Don't be playing with that wacky tobacci now.  This ain't Kansas anymore.  Gruden says he's not concerned about his new cornerback's past, only his potential upside.  By the way, Talib can play receiver too.  He's got hands!  May need him to go both ways.

Unless the Bucs 2nd round pick..WR Dexter Jackson out of Appalachian State posts.  He's a little on the short side for WR's  5-9 1/2.  Not the easiest of targets for old Jeff G, but if he finds this guy, adios muchachos, baby.  He's got jets.  Even better, he is a punt AND kick returner.  Jackson will be back there in 08.  As old Justin Wilson use to say, " I gar-un-tee."

Grade for Talib-  A-  (pure athlete-high upside, hopefully he's not a stoner)

Grade for Jackson- B (must prove to me he can consistently catch the ball-that's the knock on this guy)

We'll see what Sunday brings.  Bucs have one pick in the 3rd, and 4th round.  Two picks in the 5th.  Got an extra one from Jacksonville Saturday when the Bucs trade down in the 2nd round.
