Rating the Lightning moves

So far this week has been unprecendented in Lightning history.  The new ownership has ponied up, at a minimum of more than 61 million in various deals, and they're not done yet.

Getting Ryan Malone to be the left wing for Steve Stamkos was a home run.  Bringing teammate Gary Roberts in bolsters the third line, and a tremendous presence in the dressing room.   GRADE: A

Brigning back Proposal ensures the first line intact.  GRADE: A  Now the Lightning ownership work on a long-term deal with LeCavalier, which they will.  Owner Oren Koules told me so.

Briinging in Olie Kolzig as a tender to give Mike Smith a run was necessary.  But don't count Karri Ramo out of the mix.  GRADE: B+

Missing out on Rolston in the free-agent market, the Bolts reloaded and signed former Coyotes right wing Radim Vrbata.  Vrbata should help the scoring potential of the second line along with Malone and Stamkos. GRADE: B

Add the resigning of Ryan Craig, the Bolts are a better team than they were a year ago, and it goes beyond paper.  GRADE A-

However, you can't keep everyone and there will be trades made.  The team would like to accumulate more draft picks for future years.  Now we see who stays and who goes....

Here are a few names to keep an eye on:  Andre Roy, Chris Gratton and Dan Boyle (if he waives his no-trade clause.)
