Evan Longoria was "desperate".
And so were the Rays.
Longoria ended a long skid with a 2-run homer in the first and the Rays tied Boston at 2 after 1.
Longoria jumped on a Josh Beckett fastball and deposited it over the leftfield wall. It wasn't the prettiest swing. But it was a great looking result.
Just like he did against the White Sox, Scott Kazmir gave up 2 runs in the first. But tonight, Kazmir appears closer to form. He did give up the 2-run double to Jason Bay, but Kazmir is not struggling like he did against Chicago. Yet, he continues to pile up the pitches.
More Boston fans in Game 2...which means some Rays fans sold their tickets after Game 1. If that's true, I wish e-bay would make their names public so we could find out who those weasels are. I can't see Boston fans selling their tickets for ANY reason.
