Not often do you see an NFL team these days dominate in all facets of the game like the Bucs did Sunday, unless it's a total mismatch. Sunday was not. Carolina was in town, winner's of the last five meetings in Tampa, and Jake Delhomme had never lost at Ray Jay.
What we saw was one of the best QB's performance of Jeff Garcia's tenure with Tampa Bay. maybe the best. He's is defiinitely back in the fold. The Bucs running game got 115 yards from Warrick Dunn. The unsung hero of that rushing attack was Earnest Graham.
Graham was forced into a fullback role when Byron Storer went down with an injury and blocked beautifully for Dunn.
The Bucs defense shutdown the Panther rushing attack ( 20 carries, 40 yards). That's a monster game right there. Plus, you can kick in three interceptions of Jake Delhomme for good measure.
Special teams was special......Geno Hayes set the tempo with a blocked punt he ran back for a TD early in the first quarter.....
All in all, the best game this season by Tampa Bay, and one to carry over to next Sunday's prime time bout with Seattle at Ray Jay. Better yet, we go to 4-0-1 on our Bucs's pick for the season!
