Rays Ready For Game 4

High clouds and mild temps in Boston.  It is expected to be near 60 degrees for the first pitch at 8:07.

Fenway cleaned up well after Game 3.  After playing long toss, Josh Beckett is throwing in the Boston bullpen.  Beckett is expected to start Game 6 if it comes to that.

The Rays will take bating practice at 6:20.  They are hoping the bats are still warm after the 13-hit, 9-1 victory in Game 3.  BJ Upton and Evan Longoria are closing in on history.  They have combined for 9 postseason home runs.  That is the most ever by two players under 25.  The overall record is 14 held by Barry Bonds and Rich Aurilia in 2002.

It is also the first time in Boston history that the Red Sox have allowed 8 runs or more in back-to-back postseason games.

The Rays now have 102 wins on the season.  That is the most in baseball.  They have also won 3 straight at Fenway.  The Rays are 5-2 in this postseason.  The five wins have come from 5 different pitchers.

Andy Sonnanstine goes for his 2nd win of this postseason.  His win came in the clinching Game 4 of the ALDS.

Tim Wakefield entered this season 19-3 all-time against the Rays.  But this season, Wakefield is 0-2.
