The Red Sox are shaking up their lineup for Game 4 of the ALCS.
Jacoby Ellsbury has been given the night off. JD Drew will move into his leadoff spot. And Coco Crisp will start in centerfield.
Ellsbury was the golden boy of last year's Bosox title run. But Ellsbury has struggled in this postseason.
Much is being made in Boston about Tim Wakefield starting tonight's Game 4. He has not pitched since September 28th. And while he has had great success against the Rays in the past, this season he is 0-2 against Tampa Bay. Wakefield has given up 17 hits and 10 runs to the Rays in 15 and 1/3 innings.
Still, the Red Sox have a history of making things work in postseason. And Rays hitters are in for a major change after seeing Josh Beckett and Jon Lester the last 2 games. Wakefield's knuckler could make their lives miserable.
