Mother Nature may be the MVP for Game 3 of the World Series.
Forecasters say there is a 90 percent chance of rain Saturday. Although most of the rain is predicted for tomorrow afternoon. Skies should clear by Saturday evening. The question is, will they clear enough.
The Rays arrived in Philadelphia this afternoon and worked out at Citizens Bank Park in the early evening.
The Rays are hoping a trip north will warm the bats. It certainly worked in the ALCS in Boston. Eventhough the Rays tied the Fall Classic at one win apiece in Game 2, the Rays bats are in desperate need of a power surge.
\Evan Longoria is 0-for-8 with 4 strikeouts. Carlos Pena 0-for-7. Carl Crawford 1-for-7, but he has the Rays only home run of the Series.
If rain wins out Saturday, it should be interesting to see what that does for the pitching plans. And if there is a rainout, it could mean the two teams would play 5 straight nights and that would include a trip back to Tropicana Field.
