It was a difficult afternoon to say the least for USF Saturday up in Louisville. Injuries grounded their running game, leaving Matt Grothe basically as their only offensive weapon.
Grothe did find a way to give USF the lead with 9:22 left in the game, connecting with Ben Busbee. But the USF defense couldn't finish the job. Louisville scored on the next series, and held on for a 24-20 win.
The loss sends USF to 1-2 in the Big East, and possiblyy out of the Top 25 when the new polls come out tomorrow.
