I would assume an apology is in order to MLB Commissioner Bud Selig. Selig informed the media after the suspension of game five that the game would have been played to conclusion ( nine innings), no matter what. He had made that decision, and informed both team's an hour before game time. Trouble was, and this just makes me wonder; why didn't baseball make that fact known to the media during the game? You have FOX announcer's thinking the game could have been decided by rain, everyone else thought the same. You're telling me that just a few people were in the know? How ridiculous is that!
The fact that baseball actually called the game after the Rays had tied the score also leaves some wondering. Since I'm not in Philly to personally ask questions, the matter is closed. Just wish someone would have passed the information along in a timely manner, (during game 5). I'm sure Joe Buck and Tim McCarver would have to. What we had here was not necessary a lack of communication. more like a delay of communication.
