Records fall in Bucs 30-27 OT win over Chiefs

   

You really had to see this game to believe it.  Despite four turnovers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers performed the franchise’s “Great Escape.” 

 

NEW RECORDS:

 

Sunday’s 30-27 OT win over Kansas City marks the largest comeback win in team history.

 

The victory also gives Head Coach John Gruden his 57th career win as a Buccaneer   coach.  That makes Gruden the team’s all-time winningest coach. 

 

Clifton Smith’s 97-yard kickoff return was the longest in team history.

 

 GAME NOTES:

 

QB Jeff Garcia recorded his 18th 300-yard passing game of his career.  31-43 for 339 yards, 1TD, 1 INT.

 

WR Antonio Bryant had his third 100-yard receiving game of the season, and the 10th of his career.  Bryant finished Sunday’s game with eight receptions for 115 yards. 1TD.

 

LB Barrett Rudd recorded his second sack of the season on the first play of the game.
