If there’s a night the Lightning can break out of this winless slump, tonight would be the night. That’s if history runs true. The Bolts are 8 and 1 in their last nine meeting against the Flyers in Philly. They appear to be getting healthier, which helps. But there still needs to be some scoring from the 2nd and 3rd lines.
Have you taken a look at the plus-minus column on the Lightning roster. With the exception of LeCavalier, St. Louis and Vinny Propsal, there are plenty of minuses on that list.
It would also be beneficial to Interim Head Coach Rick Tocchet if management would end this turnstile approach with the roster. Right now the Lightning is four games under 500……certainly not out of the game yet. However, this team needs to develop some chemistry, and right now, they’re not there.
Sometime, effort needs to equate into wins. Any sign of consistency would be a signal in the right direction. Right now, that’s all we’re looking for.
