    Cut your cable bill

The following is the info Jackie Callaway used to help people reduce their cable rates with one phone call. You can see the video here.

    Hi, my name is ______________________________.

What am I currently paying on my (phone/internet/cable) _____ bill?

I want to get the best deal on my (phone/internet/cable) bill. What can you offer me?

I know that other cable compaines are offering specific deals, what are you willing to offer me?

If they don't give you a better deal, check with the other cable provider(s) in your area.

Did you have any luck with the script? If you haven't tried will you? Tell us your story!

    Re: Cut your cable bill

I had a dish network installer at my house installing dish network on February 16, 2007.

So, I called to disconnect from  Bright House.  Bright House representative named Kim Rec #055 offered me 99 channels for $20.35 a month for one year.  I said, "But I have the dish network installer at my house right now!."  She said, "Go out  and stop him."  I carried the phone outside with Kim on the other line and told the installer my Bright House offer.  He left.

Another operator later offered my neighbor Kathy the same offer for six months.

Now Bright House is charging us $39.99 a month with other charges added on my friend's bill.

I have talked to several representatives and they are denying us the $20.35 deal offered by their representative.  The details are:  Offer made Feb. 16, 2007 by Kim Rec #055 from Canada.  Confirmation #669697.  This was also approved by Kim's supervisor named Audra. Kim said in six months, she would sign me up for another six months for a total of one year of 99 channels for $20.35.

So, my lesson is: Don't trust Bright House.  They will make promises to keep you as a customer and then later charge you whatever they want .

    Thanks - Peg Weber
