    Sort of agree,

I heard the media, saw the video and was still wondering where the abuse was?

    Still wondering?

I am pulled over, I stop, I decide to go again, that's okay right.?.?

What is the line of when I do not have to listen to a deputy?

I do enjoy how the media (ABC in particular) decides what is justified and will put a slant on it to convince your simple mind.

Actually in Chicago it is ok to leave a cop if you feel unsafe when you are being stopped. However, you must go directly to a police station and report the incident. There have been a number of cases where police impersonators have stopped women simply to rape them. Doesn't apply to the case of the woman going to the hospital but it does answer your question of being able to leave when a cop has pulled you over.

How long will the public deal with this unsupported crucifixion of our cops!!!

I saw the video!!! What right does she have to run from the cops!!!

She should be in jail not on GMA (not worth spelling out)

There are mostly good cops but there are also bad cops. The cop on the hospital video may have showed poor judgement but so did the woman. Neither should be persecuted or benefit from this situation. However, a bartender in Chicago was literally beaten on camera by an off duty cop because she wouldn't serve him another drink (he was very drunk). After that the Chicago cops tried to cover it up! So, you got good cops and bad cops.

Yes, sh&t. There are examples of woman that were stopped by men dressed as cops. The city told woman to go directly to a police station if you felt unsafe when stopped. Let's fact it, all you need is a uniform that looks sort of real and a red siren light in your windshield. Now you look like a real cop.

he was wrong, she was wrong.  i can't believe it becomes so one-sided in opinions.  they were both wrong!  it's nice fodder for discussion, but we all know they were both wrong.  she should not have sped, nor left - he should have called in to check it out - afterall, they were in the hospital parking lot.  seems plausible she was there for a reason.  sheesh.

Totally agree! Talk about making a big deal out of nothing. If this actually goes to court hopefully a judge will just tell both sides to apologize for their stupid behavior and move on to the next case.

It's a heated topic, but we should respect the opposing view.

I am Shocked that this idiot still has a job.  He should be fired, charged w/ excessive force, battery, and just being an all around idiot.

If he isn't fired, than I can only say that the system of checks and balances in this country is completely BROKE.

    Amf

You are right in every sense of the word that got the dep suspended.  I know the fear that must have been in his eyes as he slammed the distraught woman against the back of her car.  She is in fact Florida’s Ms Rodney king.  Yes, the fact she was going 30 miles over a posted speed limit is in the handbook.  The solution is slam women that are twice your size against the back of the car and then taunt them.  Textbook case of what should happen to speeders headed to a hospital.  Moreover, if it were a male he would have had to use his nightstick because we all know that the worst criminals in Florida are males going to the hospital in search of loved ones.  To the letter of the law, you are 100 % correct.  In addition, I applaud you and your black and white stance of the issue.  I am proud that you are the watchdog we need there in Florida.  You make your mom proud.

However, you are right, do not speed and drive off or you will be slammed into a car.

I kinda thought he dindt slam her rahter she was top heavy and wearing those high heels and fell over.  she was passively resisting arrest and so the amount of foce used is justified by our statutes  only reason this officer is in trouble is her story happened to have checked out. oh and she apparenlty is connected to the mayors office
