I have searched the website for a place to post this information and I don't think I will be able to reach many viewers in this obscure spot, but here goes....I watch ABC Action News EVERY afternoon and just heard a report that if you send a Christmas Card to a wounded service man or woman and you have no specific name that it will NOT be delivered. While this is TRUE, it's only 1/2 the story. The American Red Cross has stepped up to the plate (once again) and its volunteers are working hard to deliver your cards and well wishes. I would like to encourage you to send Christmas or other holiday cards (our military is made up of ALL denominations and beliefs) to: We Support You During Your Recovery, C/O The American Red Cross, PO Box 419, Savage, MD 20763-0419. If you doubt this, check the Red Cross Website...http://www.redcross.org/pressrelease/0,1077,0_314_7350,00.html.
Take a minute and address a card (or more) to one of our soldiers that are hospitalized.
Thank you,
Vickie Rich, Brandon, FL
