Northwest Tampa Church of God is hosting another Women of Worship Service.  Come hear the testimonies of post-abortive women who have stepped out in faith by surrendering their secret to help women understand the shame and guilt associated with abortion, and how total healing and forgiveness are God’s will.

Abortion is seemingly one of the few topics in the church that is still kept under the altar, with few women ever coming forth to share their pain and receive healing through their spiritual beliefs.  Northwest Tampa Church of God is stepping forth to proclaim that victory is possible for women who have had an abortion. 

Few realize the magnitude of abortion in our society today.  There are nearly 1.2 million abortions in the United States per year, and an estimated 8,000 abortions in Hillsborough county.  The number of women hurting by this is astounding. 

Northwest Tampa Church of God is reaching out to provide a place for their healing journey to begin.  The church is starting a class for post-abortive women, following the proven process developed by Pat Layton, Founder and President of A Women’s Place Ministries, Inc. in Tampa, FL.  Her book, Surrendering the Secret, has set women in our congregation free from the pain and guilt associated with abortion, and is now being used at our church for other women in the area who may be experiencing the same.

The service will be held Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 7:00pm.  No admission fees.
